Care Center and CityLink Center are teaming up to offer training for local in-demand industries. Each of these trainings include certifications and employment connections.

We know that finding a new job today is full of complications and sometimes it’s hard to know where to even start. We’ll help you get started and sharpen the skills needed to impress your future employer.

A Job Coach can support you as you look to get back to the workforce by aiding in job search, resume building, interview skills and navigating the workplace. We’ll walk alongside you with the goal of helping you keep one job for one year, encouraging you to set goals and overcome the barriers to employment.

Start working right away in the Manufacturing/Warehouse Industry! Roots model is “temp to hire” where you’ll work at a job site for your first 90 days as one of Roots’ employees. The goal is that after 90 days, you receive an offer for permanent, full-time employment with that company. Various positions are available on their website at rootsstaffing.com

Dress for Success is on-site on Tuesdays and Thursdays to offer styling services for your upcoming interview as well as services when you land the job. During your styling appointment for your upcoming interview, you will receive one fabulous outfit, complete with shoes, accessories and a handbag. Once you are offered the job, you can return and be styled with 10 new pieces to start your new career in!

Wheels knows what it’s like try to get back to work or find a better job without a car. In this day and age, it’s difficult, almost impossible, to live in Cincinnati without a vehicle. Wheels is a volunteer team dedicated to helping meet the transportation needs of people in our community. The team reconditions donated vehicles and passes them on to qualified recipients in partnership with The Care Center with the goal of empowering people into employment.

Jacob’s Ladder is a faith-based year long program to prepare High School Seniors for post-secondary success as well as support current academic studies. Graduates of this program also receive $3,000 towards continuing education.

Spark Life Coaching, a program of the Care Center, exists to be the spark that propels people to take the next step in life, whatever that looks like for you. We do this through one-on-one life coaching sessions paired with practical skills based workshops on topics such as job placement, parenting and finances. We also offer service opportunities to empower participants to give back to the community in a practical way. We strive to remove barriers that people often encounter when trying to get ahead by offering financial assistance to participants.

As you participate in Spark, you’ll earn the opportunity to apply for grants to use toward housing, education or transportation. Spark Coaching is a 12 month program and if you are interested in becoming involved please click here to find out more information or download an application below.

Need help making decisions about your money? Talking about your finances doesn’t have to be confusing or uncomfortable. Through the Care Center, you can receive one-on-one personalized and confidential financial coaching. Our team is easy to talk to and can help you make smart financial decisions.

Build the basic skills that you’ll need when using a computer and prepare for future learnings through our Computer Essentials workshop. You’ll move at your own pace through a series of tutorials while also being assisted by an onsite mentor. Topics include basic computer skills.

In addition, get an introduction to the Microsoft Office software through a 4-week hands on, instructor lead workshop. Topics include Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
Our state of the art computer lab offers open lab times and hands on assistance in building computer skills. It’s also available throughout the week by appointment for job search and online applications.
Dinner and childcare are also provided!

Want to get your High School Equivalency or GED? Need to remediate for the UC Clermont College placement test or for the Accuplacer test for other Community Colleges? Join Our FREE Adult High School Equivalency Classes provided by Great Oaks on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30am-12pm. You can move at your own pace while also receiving instruction from an on-site Great Oaks teacher. Childcare is provided upon request.

Free English classes are available on-site at the Care Center in partnership with Great Oaks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am-12pm. This program is for adults who wish to improve and practice speaking, reading, listening and writing skills at a level that is right for them.  Before starting ESOL, students must complete a registration session with Great Oaks.

Tried & True™ can help with all of these issues and more. Grounded in the Common Sense Parenting® model and proven by research, these easy-to-learn and apply techniques offer positive, lasting results across all ages, from toddlers to teens. These are interactive classes using instruction, modeling, video, group activities and more. Dinner and childcare are also provided. 

The Money Smart Workshop will help people of all ages enhance their financial skills and manage your money with confidence. In this 4-week interactive workshop you’ll explore:

  • Tips and tricks to track your expenses.
  • Your personal goals and small steps you can take to achieve them.
  • Credit reports and credit scores, building your credit history, and repairing/improving credit.
  • Who to pay next and who to leave behind.
  • Savings for emergencies and disasters.

Learn how you can change your current reality and experience more financial freedom! Dinner and childcare are provided and you’ll earn incentives as you complete tasks.

Learn how to cook health and affordable meals for your family. 

In this hands on workshop each student will learn 8 different cooking skills, create a full menu to enjoy during the workshop, and receive fresh produce to take home. Each recipe taught can serve a healthy meal to a family of 4 for under $12.

Participants who complete 4 out of the 5 sessions will also receive a cooking equipment kit including a chef’s knife, cutting board, cast iron skillet, and a resuble shopping bag. 

Childcare is also provided. 

Join us for Alpha a 7-week open ended conversation. Alpha is a series of group conversations that explore the basics of the Christian faith. You’re invited no matter your background or beliefs. Connect with people, watch an episode, and share your thoughts.

Join us on Wednesdays from 10-11am, 1-2pm, or 7-8pm to complete an order for FREE personal hygiene, cleaning supplies, paper goods and diapers. Please note that you must complete an application prior to receiving diapers.

The Eve Center is a community of women devoted to promoting hope, healing, and growth for women through biblical, no cost, safe and confidential peer counseling and training. The Care Center is excited to partner with the Eve Center to bring their services on-site.

Dr. Brien Polivika, from Loveland Chiropractic, is at the Care Center on Wednesdays from 10am-12pm to meet the needs of patients of all ages and backgrounds. Appointments are available every 15 minutes. Request an appointment with the button below and we’ll follow-up with you to confirm your date and time.

Life Forward, Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati offers clients facing unplanned pregnancies services at no charge including: consultation on options, pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, referrals to community services and education and support. Life Forward is seeing clients on-site at the Care Center on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am-4:30pm and for more information or to schedule an appointment visit www.lifeforwardcincy.org

Need to see the doctor? We’re partnering with Huber Personalized Medicine to provide free integrative healthcare and nutrition coaching both in person or via Telehealth. Appointments are available on Wednesdays in person and via Telehealth throughout the week.  Services provided include management of chronic conditions including diabetes and high blood pressure as well as helping get to the root causes of your illness or disease.  Free high quality supplements are also provided by Orthomolecular Products!

Certified volunteers can help you keep more of your hard earned income through VITA Tax Prep service.
